Applies to: HR/Customer administrators
When a job vacancy has been created, either by you or a fellow administrator, it will remain in pending status until published. Once published, the job vacancy is viewable by the intended target audience, whether they be purely internal employees via the MyPeople system or external applicants as well.
- To publish a newly created job vacancy, that either you or a fellow administrator has created, click on Jobs on the side menu, followed by the Manage Vacancies sub-menu.
- The Manage Vacancies page will be displayed, showing any vacancies in the pending status.
- It’s probably not a good idea to publish everything here, unless you have been advised to do so, or all vacancies have been created and checked by you.
- We recommend having one last check of the job vacancy before publishing, as once published, this step cannot be undone.
- To check and confirm your vacancy details, find the vacancy in the list and using the action button and related drop-down items, click view.
- The job vacancies details page will be displayed, showing the information as this will appear to applicants.
- Click back on the job details page, to be returned to the Manage Vacancies page.
- To publish the vacancy, click the action button again and select publish from the available drop-down menu items.
- You’ll be asked to confirm that you wish to publish the vacancy and upon confirmation, your newly created vacancy will show with a status of active.
- At this stage, employees already within your organisation will be able to view and apply for the position, by browsing the Current Vacancies sub-menu of the Jobs menu.
- Likewise, if you made the vacancy externally visible when creating it, this will be visible on the external vacancy page
- Your external job page, will be https://companyname.mypeoplemanager.com/recruitment/external – where companyname id the same URL prefix that you use to access MyPeople. For example, https://mypeople.mypeoplemanager.com/recruitment/external
- Now that your vacancy is active, when internal or external applicants have submitted their applications for the position, you will be able to view and managed applications, offer the position and confirm the employment of a successful applicant from the Manager Vacancies page.
